Training Course Descriptions

Required Equipment:

  • Functioning Pistol
  • Three (3) Magazines
  • Magazine Carrier (Battle/Duty Belt, Chest Harness, Plate Carrier, etc.)
  • Vision and Hearing Protection
  • Appropriate Amount of Ammo (Amounts in Course Descriptions)
  • Weather and Activity Appropriate Attire (Dress in Layers)
  • An Open Mind and Willingness to Learn

Recommended Equipment:

  • Electronic Hearing Protection (Facilitates Better Hearing of Range Commands)
  • Elbow and Knee Pads (Drills May Be Conducted On Gravel or Concrete)
  • Gloves (Extended Firing May Mean a Hot Barrel or Irritated Hands)
  • Spare Parts (In the Event of a Parts Breakage, Quick Repair is Key)
  • Maintenance/Adjustment Tools and Items (Oil, etc.)
  • Extra Magazines

Pistol Level 1 – Introductory Course – One Day

Cost -$100
Ammo Requirement – Three Hundred  (300) Rounds

Course Outline -

Our Level I course is designed to introduce the shooting enthusiast to the world of tactical pistol shooting and methods to effectively employ his or her pistol. Topics will include: basic weapons familiarization and manipulation, basic range safety, marksmanship fundamentals, an introduction to malfunction diagnosis and clearance, and basic firing positions.

At the end of the course students will feel familiarized with their weapon and have knowledge on how to improve.


Pistol Level 2 – Basic Course – Two Day

Cost -$200
Ammo Requirement – Five Hundred  (500) Rounds

Course Outline -

Our Level II course is designed to build upon the basic fundamentals of pistol shooting, and to combine those shooting fundamentals with effective tactical thinking. Topics will include: range safety, weapons manipulation, marksmanship fundamentals,  malfunction diagnosis and clearance, and advanced firing positions.

  • Use of Cover and Concealment
  • Table Drill
  • Stress Shoot
  • Buddy Stress Shoot
  • Iron Cross Drill
  • Low Light Shooting

At the end of the course students will be comfortable and confident with their firearm, and have a basic grasp on tactical thinking.
